Avalanche is doing well. He is eating, not biting and a good snake. I would recommend this over any other type of  snake I have held if you want a calm snake.

I am not sure but I think he is going to shed his skin soon  because the top of his head is a little foggy  and he has been rubbing his head  against his log.
 

    He started to come out a little bit more yesterday but most of the day he stayed in. I will hold him for the first time since he ate today and he should finish digesting today so He might come out.

Yesterday Avalanche stayed in his hiding spot from when I woke up to when I went to bed. It was probably because he ate the night before. Tomorrow I will hold it again.

My snake ate yesterday for the first time! I am very exited about this because ball thons along with most snakes are very picky eaters right after being bought. We fed him what he was use to eating, one live hopper mouse. He slowly went up to it and then in about 1/2 a second he bit it and wrapped around the mouse. Once the mouse died he uncoiled his body and gulped it up in a few minutes.

    Make sure not to hold it at least  48 hours after it eats. Also, we had to feed it a live mouse because that is what it is use to eating. You should feed it pre-killed or frozen and thawed for a few reasons. One is that the mice ( of all sizes ) can bite and scratch the ball python. That can injure and even kill your snake. Live mice can carry parasites that you don't want your ball python eating. The only reason that you should feed live is if your snake is use to live or if that is all it will eat.
